The three boys were members of the Orang Asli, a semi-nomadic tribe, indigenous to the Taman Negara region of mainland Malaysia, which is actually the world's oldest rain forest, having existed largely as is for 130 million years. The boys were engrossed in watching their elders fire poison darts through blow-tubes into a target.
