Boat at Sunset

This image is interesting because, at first glance, it appears to be a sepia-toned pic. In fact, the colour is as it was. It was taken in July 1991,some months after the volcano Pinatubo blew in the Philippines, sending clouds of volcanic dust, into the atmosphere, around the world. During nine weeks travelling through Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia almost every evening we experienced beautiful sunsets, often as in this picture with very unusual hues.
